Hey all,
I just worked out a new scheme for the initial directory for File ->
New and File -> Open:
menu_open_dir:
- starts in pwd
- is updated to the dir of the previous File -> Open
menu_new_dir:
- starts in pwd
- updated on every File -> Save As to that dir
- updated to path of current patch whenever focus changes
- when Pd window gets focus, menu_new_dir is set to pwd
This means when you create a new window, it starts in the directory
that you are currently working in, which is a huge improvement, IMHO.
