Dear Matteo,
thanks a lot for this.- I did try it with some thnigs, what Derek proposed.-
It works really good.- I did use [makefilename], [prepend] and
[sys_gui] to find the right image to delete in the folder.-
What I want to do next, is to calculate the life span of the image,
that was deleted. So the time/date of delete event - time/date of the
image storing event = life span. May be with the pd time of HCS.-

Dear friends of Pd,
I?m looking for a way to delete a file in a certain directory out
of Pd.
May be just by pressing bang. Has anybody already tried this?
I had a similar need recently, and of all the solutions I was suggested
the one I liked most was using [sys_gui] by H.C.Steiner because the
message you construct to delete a file is platform-independent.
You just send a message "file delete _filename_" to [sys_gui].
Also, it doesn't pop-up any shell window.
