Hi, I have the same system as you (the only dif is I pacthed it for RT kernel), here's utput of $uname -a: Linux 2.6.31-9-rt #152-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT RT Thu Oct 15 05:01:14 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux
I also installed PD from synaptics and seems the same version: $ pd -version Pd version 0.41-4 compiled 00:27:04 Nov 7 2008 Try several things: - check your OpenGL first (in console try: $glxgears) - try launching pd from command line with -verbose and -debug <some-level-like-3> and see if you get any more help than just that seg fault. Best of luck, Pedro On Sun, May 2, 2010 at 11:59 PM, <[email protected]> wrote: > hi > > I am using the configuration bellow, and every time i create gemwin > object, pd immediately crashes with a segmentation fault error that > appears only on the terminal. > > I tried to reinstall PD and got the same problem, the Pd was installed by > synaptic. > > Pd version 0.41-4 > Gem 0.90 > > Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala > 2.6.31-20-generic i686 GNU/Linux > > Thanks a lot > Karla > > > > _______________________________________________ > [email protected] mailing list > UNSUBSCRIBE and account-management -> > http://lists.puredata.info/listinfo/pd-list > -- Pedro Lopes contacto: [email protected] website: http://web.ist.utl.pt/Pedro.Lopes
