So '*' is not really a wildcard, but a placeholder for a number. Personally I don't like to number my images with %d, at least I'd rather use %08d or similar...

uff... that really should be a wildcard... nicely spotted. Anyone mind if I make it a wildcard or really a full glob pattern? If it is a %d expansion, it should not use a "*" to represent that.
