I'm not sure without testing, but given that it allows opening in the terminal, you should be able to sudo whatever app and enter your root password when the terminal pops up. Keep in mind that this is not vanilla JACK - you need to use the patched dbus branch ladish provides to make the most of the ladish features. -mjn
