most objects in iemguts are pretty self-contained (well, they all included the same header, that provides some common infrastructure. so taking the C-code of one of the iemguts objects and releasing them separately, is just a stupid way to circumvent the "unstable/unfinished" clause. in this case it would be better to just add iemguts to pdx. (i think forking is ok if you need to add functionality or want to re-implement things; but just for the sake of releasing, i think forks are a bda thing) otoh, i hope that this was the last monolithic pdx release, which i might make things like releasing "unstable/unfinished" things a bit easier. mfgadsr. IOhannes PS: probably i should just add a popup where the users have to type "Yes_i_understand_that_the_upstream_author_considers_this_unstable" once. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.10 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAkym7agACgkQkX2Xpv6ydvT9sgCg3YXGsdRJc4SWvprZ4OjOkhyI BIwAoIMjMQiwCiQtYszTXsYmqhqnAJ5d =YRTk -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ [email protected] mailing list UNSUBSCRIBE and account-management -> http://lists.puredata.info/listinfo/pd-list
