Apologies for cross-posting. 20110101 snapshot now introduces code clean-ups including revamped "to-front" and "to-back" algorithms which do not rely upon the cut/paste/undo hack and thus do not affect any of the other objects on canvas. Consequently, there is also addition of a special undo/redo actions that deal with to-front/back actions.
