hallo, after spending the w-end being curious about python in pd, I did as an exercise a preset manager with excellent [pyext]. patch/abstractions txt files are parsed (sic =) to find UI objects with valid send/receive symbols that are going to be saved. it might not be the most elegant python code ever but anyway, for the curious, you can grab the script and help file there:
