Ok, I narrowed it down to udpsend in Pd-Extended 0.42.5 ... Here's how to reproduce the startup saved state crash on Mac OSX 10.7:
1. open the udpsend help file and save it to your home dir 2. add this file to your startup commands: Pd-Extended->Preferences...->Startup..., add ~/udpsend-help.pd to the end of startup flags 3. Quit Pd-Extended with the udpsend-help file still open. 4. Pd-Extended should now crash after loading the patch windows. I tried the same with udpreceive and netsend without any problems ...
