Is there anyway to play an animated gif with GEM or gridflow? I heard that
GEM has support for gif's with gmerlin-avdecoder. It seems to behave like
the gif format is supported, but then perhaps gmerlin crashes? I couldn't
even get gmerlin to play a gif outside of PD, with its command line tools.
Here is some of the output from the console:

pix_film:: gmerlin support
[pix_film]: opening /home/tony/Downloads/burger.gif with format 1908
[pix_film]:  ...
[pix_film]: loaded file: /home/tony/Downloads/burger.gif with 1667013560

GEM: Start rendering

I installed gmerlin, gmerlin-acdecoder, gem and puredata all from source on
Arch Linux. If anyone has any idea how I can get a gif to play in pure data
any way please let me know.
