I agree. It sound's like a grounding problem. I get the same when I plug my 
laptop's internal audio output *and* a usb soundcard output connected to the 
laptop into the same mixer.

Have you tried direct boxes between the soundcards and the mixer? You should be 
able to lift/drop the ground to kill the hum.
