what i don't understand is which glew-version you are actually using:
depending on how Gem is compiled it can use the system's glew or a
built-in version (which is 1.5.4, which is also what your pastie shows
but 1.5.4 is rather oldish...)

what's the problem you are having? (an error message is not a problem by
itself; it only tells you that there might be a real problem)
'hanging' GEM windows, no output being drawn, slow gui response,
generally not-working-GEM ...
