There are three libraries in the pure-data SVN that allow you to do this stuff in Pd itself:
jackx k_jack~ tb/jack_transport I attached the newly libdir-ized jackx, with included Mac OS X binaries. Just run 'make' to create GNU/Linux binaries. .hc
