on my ubuntu 12.10 64bits, when i instantiate [text2d], pd tells me
[text2d]: cannot find font-file '/home/batinste/vera.ttf'
Well...
~$ locate vera.ttf
/usr/lib/pd-extended/extra/Gem/examples/05.text/vera.ttf
/usr/lib/pd-extended/extra/Gem/examples/data/vera.ttf
i clicked "defaults" in the preferences, i've got no .pdextended in my
home directory, so
~$ vim /etc/pd-extended/default.pdextended
[...]
path1: /var/lib/defoma/x-ttcidfont-conf.d/dirs/TrueType
npath: 1
This directory /var/lib/defoma doesn't exist... Maybe pd should look in
its own directories to find vera.ttf.
