usually this is not a problem.
for one thing, Pd (internally) provides ways to convert \ to /.
and even microsoft managed to accept paths with forward slashes as if
they were backslashes (in their programming API)!
on w32, [openpanel] will return the paths delimited by /
fgamsdr
