Found it in: buildsys/win/pd/gnumake-mingw The -lpthreadVC flag must come last. (Not sure how you got it to compile that way.) But with the newest version of mingw-get-inst the real solution is to remove the entire ifdef around setting those flags because pthread is included with mingw (contrary to the mingw documentation which explicitly says its missing).
