yes they are (and should have the suffix ".l_ia64" rather than ".pd_linux") try `file`: $ file c.patcherargs.pd_linux c.pacherargs.pd_linux: ELF 64-bit LSB shared object, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked, stripped it's quite clear what the file is gfmdsar IOhannes
