well... most externals are using the same build system unified a while ago by Hans and other to maintain Pd-extended. so building them is quite straightforward. I've just checkout http://git.puredata.info/cgit/svn2git/libraries/fftease.git/ (thanks iohannes for providing this !) and build it while writing this email. If you want to do it yourself, I suggest you search "How to build pd externals" and I'm sure you'll find a lots of things. Maybe you can start by reading this : https://puredata.info/docs/developer
