http://puredata.info/docs/faq/how-do-i-install-externals-and-help-files

I usally prefer :

%AppData%\Pd

Paste %appdata% to your file explorer menu.

%appdata% is shortcut to a more complete path, in my case:

C:\Users\Lucarda\AppData\Roaming\

So do find it like:

C:\
Users
*you*
appdata
roaming
pd

next time deken should offer you that dir.

Subject: [PD] deken and windows

hi, new at windows, trying to download externals from deken in windows, but if
I tell it to download to

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Pd\extra\"

it says it is not a writeable folder...

where does deken usually install externals in windows?

cheers
