I did it! I ended up running the command:
deken upload -v 0-20170419 --no-source-error iemguts-v0-20170419-\(Darwin-i386-32\)\(Darwin-x86_64-32\)-externals.tar.gz It now appears in deken, although the naming seems a bit weird. It shows up as iemguts/020170419. Maybe, someone else with a Mac can try installing to verify that it unpacks and runs correctly. I can verify that initbang is sending a bang when a patch is instantiated, but I'm still having a problem in my patch. I guess there's other code involved, too.
