Although it seems to work fine on Windows with ASIO so far, more feedback from
Windows users is highly welcome! The fix for Windows is already included in
Millers Pd 0.49.0-test3 build http://msp.ucsd.edu/software.html

on Windows you should even be able to quickly unplug/plug or powercycle the
device (within about a second) and Pd will automatically reopen it for you.
this can be useful e.g. when there is a short power outage in the middle of a
performance.

Betreff: [PD] pd 0.49-0test3 macOS device unplug test

Howdy all,

We've added some work to handle when an audio device is unplugged while Pd is
running. Can any mac users try a test build and the steps listed here?

https://github.com/pure-data/pure-data/pull/474

Mainly, I want to know that:

1. the error message is printed and Pd does not hang when a device is unplugged
2. the error message only appears on a device unplug and not when Pd starts
(we've seen this with some previous builds)
