There's a key estimation patch in the examples package for timbreID using the [chroma~] object. It calculates a moving average pitch class profile over whatever amount of time you want, and compares it to PCPs for each key to get the best match. I just made it as a proof of concept example, but it seemed to work well with Bach WTC pieces. Hope it helps...
