This is indeed fixed in IEM GUIs, but not in *gatom* labels.
IEM GUIs: can use # in labels and send/receive symbols
gatoms: # in labels and send/receive symbols are replaced by $. (Up to
Pd 0.51-4 it worked in send/receive symbols at least...)

Can't confirm this, I can type "C#" or set it via label messages. Also
tried "#-4" and it worked (tested in [cnv] and [bng]).
