Yes, the key/event handling comes from tk. you'll have to ask them about the 
behavior (it seems like there should be some way to disable key repeats on 
windows..)

Thanks, just to be clear as I am not involved in this coding: The
problem lies within Tcl/Tk right (and is known within that community of
coders)?
