Hi, I recently upgraded to a new arm mac and have been using it.

You see, with my old machines running older systems, I can load externals
just fine, but at some point, I don't know why, it takes a lot of time to
load them for the first time.

I just timed this now with my recent ELSE upload to deken. And when we
download it from deken now I automatically open a readme file that loads
all objects, which forces us to wait until all externals are loaded, and it
took about 2 minutes to load in my M3 mac. Almost 2:30 minutes in an older
intel running Monterey.

I know I'm not codesigning or anything, just building and uploading to
deken.

So, can I do anything about it at all? Or just tell people to deal with it
for the first time?

thanks
