I think the fonts in the IEMGuis are simply not portable between
platforms at all. There should
be an option to just use Pd's own fonts (and a warning if otherwise).
I'll think about this for
version 0.57 :)

For now i resolved the problem by switching back to x11, but since more and
more linux distros will switch to wayland in the future, it would be great if
this issue could be resolved.
