this is unfortunately to be expected for externals that use private symbols of
Pd.
There are quite a number of functions that Pd makes no guarantee about (eg
whether they will be still available in the next release), but externals are
able to use them - at their own risk.
ELSE took this risk... maybe other externals as well.
(perhaps miller decides to put the missing function back in, maybe not)
the good news is, that since Pd-0.55 externals *can* actually query at runtime,
whether a given function is available.
