to answer my own question about Tcl/Tk in pd64: yesterday i compiled 0.56.4-test1 for floatsize 64 and just copy/pasted the contents of the frameworks folder from Pd64-0.56-2 (which would not exhibit the ptroblem of crashing when moving an object with arrow keys). probably not the most eegant solution, but this worked.
