Hmm...! The "-xe" prevents the normal editing action (which is to drag
the whole object around when you click on the object - i.e. it prevents
the bounds rectangle for the whole scalar to be enlarged to include the
drawnumber. But then that leaves drag-the-value-up-and-down unchanged
so that, even in edit mode, you can drag the value up and down (not
displacing scalar as a whole). I hadn't thought of it but this sounds
like a useful feature.
Would it also be useful when in edit mode to disable dragging the value
(but enabling it in run mode)? The "-x" option disables it in edit and
run mode both, which seems to me much more likely to be what's wanted.

tested a bit (on macos). two comments on the current behaviour:
* text editing is still possible for all flags via triple click - but
possibly, that's an edge case anyway.
* -xe allows dragging in edit mode (while -xr doesn't - should these
be switched?)
i'm attaching a test patch. not sure if that works here ...
