Finally got around to compile aoo-master on Irix 6.5.22 (datestamp says 11-Oct-2024) by backporting the cmake requirement to versions 3.5.
This would be helpful to stream across multiple instances of PD on my headless 8 CPU Origin 2200 server controlled from the Octane2. However, it keeps crackling ever so often (maybe every few seconds up to half a minute give or take between clicks), I cannot figure out why. I'm using the aoo_send~-help.pd and aoo_receive~-help.pd on localhost only with PCM codec to test. The CPUs are not stressed at all, so that part should be fine. Tried different buffer and data sizes unsuccessfully. My fallback currently is udpsend~ and udpreceive~ which do not suffer from this issue.
