Well, apart from the difference in cruft between the two source tar balls,
Debian source packages must follow a naming convention.

However, have a look at this:

  http://packages.debian.org/pdbv

So since pdbv is now officially in the Debian archive, if it is okay with
everybody, I will stop uploading Debian packages to the file area. Maybe
we can include a link pointing at the Debian archive?
