Likely the eCopy (Canon enabled paper capture with Multi-Function
equipment) is image only.
I am also guessing these PDF files may be more than 10 pages.
There are very distinct print queue configurations to achieve rated print
speed.
Printer RAM, connectivity, print stream structure, etc. that also affect
your perception of speed.

Subject: [PDF-Basics] Slowdown in
printing

Please respond to
pdf-basics
I receive .pdf files (legal documents)from various clients which I have to
print. I have had no problems until recently. I upgraded to the Acrobat
6 reader. I began experiencing a problem.When I download certain .pdf
files, they downloaded much more slowly than I'm accustomed to. Then . .
. when I print them, the printing is ridiculously slow. Like a page every
45 seconds or so. The problem is greatly exacerbated when ONE of my
clients uses some vehicle called "eCopy" to send his .pdf files, but it
exists with ALL .pdf files. (The files I deal withare 100% black and
white text.)
I called the eCopy support service to see if they could help. They found
nothing. They recommended I try a different printer. I did. I used my
Samsung laser printer. It printed at normal speed. The eCopy folks
suggested I had a printer related problems with my HP.
I use a HPlaserjet 1200series printer. I called the HP tech service and
spent an hour troubleshooting for possible printer related problems.
Nothing worked.
I uninstalled Acrobat 6 and reverted back to 5.1. That speeded things up
somewhat but still not back to the point at which it once was.
My business REQUIRES that I be able to receive .pdf documents, print them,
and get them out to customers rapidly.
Does anyone have ANY suggestions as to what is causing this slowdown in
downloading and printing?
Thank you
