Martin:

After confirmation that info has been saved, when I open the attachments per process initial message indicates that attachments were saved in "Windows".  By "text encoding" is a dot by Windows (default)

All help will be greatly appreciated.

Subject: Problem in decoding PDF messages received as e-mail attachments

Martin:

Thank you for your suggestion of first saving attachments by hitting:
      - File menu
      - Save attachments

However, when I do that I can see that my disk drive is saving the attachments but a window comes up which states:

      File Conversion

Select the encoding that makes your document readable

      Text encoding:
           Windows (Default)    MSDOS    Other

To the right of "Other" is a window that has the following alternative choices:

   US- ASCII
   Vietnamese (Windows)
   Western Europe (DOS)
   Western Europe (ISO)
   Western Europe (Mac)
   Western Europe (Windows)

No matter which alternative I choose the attachment/s come up as if in some Asian language.

Does Martin, or anyone else, have any suggestions as to what I can do to be able to read the PDF attachments to e-mail messages received in "plain English".

Many thanks for any and all suggestions.
