[PDF-Basics] pmd to pdf

Hi, I am converting a pagemaker publication (.pmd) to PDF. and I get the following error msg in pagemaker "Cannot send Postscript to Distiller". In the distiller I get the following error message when doing the same, which says "Error: rangecheck; OffendingCommand: setcolorspace " I thought it was some graphics/image related problem since my publication has images.
