Windows XP Professsional Adpbe FrameMaker 6.0p405 Adobe Acrobat 5.0.5 Adobe Reader 5.1 Microsoft IE 6.0 Scenario ======== I have been experimenting with FrameMaker hypertext, specifically the Special > Hypertext > Go to URL function. When the reader clicks on a URL, I want a new web browser page to open and display the indicated web page. Reader 5.1 vs. Acrobat 5.0.5 ============================ The URL function works the way I want with Reader, but not with Acrobat. Here's what Acrobat does: 1. A "Download Status" dialog box opens, displays some progress stats, then closes. 2. A "There were errors" dialog box opens and lists a FNF status followed by the target URL with "images/PDFicon.gif" appended. 3. The PDF bookmarks and display panels both show that the web page has been added to my document! ==> Do I need to change an Acrobat preference so that it handles web links the same way as Reader? I've looked at help, Document Properties, Preferences, and Tools. Nothing looks promising. Any help would be appreciated! ~Donna __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
