I have an odd little problem with Distiller 6. We recently upgraded from 5 to Acrobat 6.0 Professional so we can have more OSX native software and finally migrate as far away from having to run in classic as we can. I am running a Quicksilver G4 with dual 1.4 GHz processors, 1024 MB of RAM and am operating under OS 10.2.6. The problem I am encountering is that when I try to distill a file the distiller seems to run fine, the little thermometers go all the way, it asks where I want to place the final PDF and then nothing...it just doesn't show up. All indications are that the distiller is working properly, it just doesn't produce a PDF file. Has anyone else experienced this? Any handy tips, tricks or workarounds? Acrobat distiller is pretty flaky in Classic, so I'd like to be OSX native as soon as possible. Any hints or suggestions would be appreciated and I would like to thank you all in advance.
