Chris,
Not sure if you have already received this response since I am on digest. I
don't know how to highlight as you asked, but have you tried linking to a
named destination? That should take users right to the section they are
interested in instead of the beginning of a document.

Subject: [PDF-Basics] Highlight Text Related to a Link

I am trying to figure out way to highlight text (section heading)
associated with a link. I am developing a manual using 6.0 Professional
and the document allows the user to drill-down to specific topics by
clicking on boxes in flow charts. Once the user drills-down to the lowest
level, the links open detail text documents. These documents can have
multiple sections so I need to figure out a way to direct the user's
attention to the section related to the link they clicked on.
