Greetings:

I just joined the group to learn more about the
program and also to get some help.

I used Windows XP Home.

My immediate problem is that I am unable to convert my
Word 2000 files to Acrobat PDF files (I have v.5.0).
After clicking on the Adobe icon in the Word document,
(or on 'File'> print>) and clicking in the 'Save'
dialog box to print to PDF, the progress bar moves
halfway and then hangs up. Even after I do the
three-finger-salute (Alt-Control-Delete)and stop the
process, I find that the PDF print job is pending when
I check in Control Panel>Printers, and then must
cancel the printing to remove it.)

Could this have something to do with fonts. I tried
to get info from the Adobe site, but became utterly
confused at the mass of info there.

Anyone have some thoughts on this? Need more info?

Thanks in advance.
