Installing Reader on top of a full Acrobat/Distiller installation is probably not a good idea.
While I agree, I gave a three-part presentation on Acrobat some months back and had to cover Acrobat 5, Acrobat 6, and Reader 6. They worked together OK though I couldn't easily open by clicking on a PFD file.
To restore the original system I had used a Ghost image backup since uninstalling and installing those versions is tedious.
What are you missing in Acrobat 5.05 that you think Reader 6.0 will give you?
Reading a PDF out loud maybe? <VBG>
At first I thought auto-scrolling was a bit of a gimmick but later found it useful on occasions.
