Hi, Ed,
Thanks, I was using Lexmark x5100 series All-In-One scanner/copy/printer.
Actually, in my case all the surrounding white space in a page will
be eliminated,
and only the central text parts are captured. It does this automatically,
I suspect
there maybe a setting for this automatically clipping the white space
on scanning
pages. But I checked the software setting, could not find how I can
disable
the setting.

Tian, Software/Hardware Specifics? How
are you scanning book, is it a bound book. Define white space. It sounds
like your scanner is ignoring the surrounding area and only seeing the
text. Better Information = Better Answers! Ed

Hi,
I am trying to use Adobe Acrobat 5.0, and using the Import - > Scan
to scan a few pages from a book, somehow the scanner automatically
cut off the white space so the resulted book pages have so surrounding
white space anymore. I would like to maintain the original page size
in
the converted pdf pages after the scanning process.
Wonder if I could avoid this automatically cutting?
Thanks
Tian
