If you OCR the document the final PDF would be MUCH smaller (perhaps 90-95% smaller). But you'll need to proof read the documents as OCR is never 100%. PDF-Basics is a service provided by PDFzone.com | http://www.pdfzone.com/ __________________________________________________________________ Hi, I wonder what are the ways to reduce the size of scanned pdf files ? (mostly text document, with some charts and simple graphics, etc.) I wonder if OCR the scanned documents can reduce the pdf file size substantially? I have a 35 page text documents, after scan conversion, the resulted pdf is about 5M. I used 150dpi and b/w text mode for the scanning. Any tricks we can do within the Acrobat 5?
