[PDF-Basics] Problem with 6.0.1

Downloaded subject up-dated version.  Won't open files.  Error message: "Acrord has caused an error in ACRORD32.EXE. Acrord32 will now close."   Have downloaded, removed, downloaded, repaired, etc,etc,etc many times.  Still same problem  When 6.0 opens, within a few seconds a "gray" box appears over the top of it.  Need to click on X about 4 times to close this box, then 6.0 will not respond.   Tried downloading through IE and through Opera, with virus protection on and with it off.   Any suggestions would be helpful.  I have lots of PDF files on my computer and can't access them now.   Thanks for any help.   Mike [EMAIL PROTECTED]
