Is there anyone that is using a Mac G5 that is having trouble with producing clean output with PDF?? System Basics: Mac G5 (OSX 10.2.7) QuarkXPress 6.0 Acrobat Standard 6.0 (Distiller 6.0) I'm having trouble with the imported graphics showing up cleanly in a pdf format, when using Quark's Export Layout as PDF. I've spent 4 weeks back-and-forth with Quark online help, and an hour with Quark on the telephone most recently, with no avail. I can use .tif, .eps or .pdf filetypes without much difference; they all are unreadable in the printed PDF document. I've tried and retried every condition that this combination of files has been created with, without success. The worst part for me is that although I've worked in super-critical 4-color commercial offset printing, the files I'm working with are 'just' black and white / grayscale pages in Quark that are only being printed in-house on a Docutech 'printer'! This surely is NOT rocket science! Is there anyone in the world that is having success with this workflow of hardware and software??
