Chris I am not yet confident enough with Pitstop to answer your question but I can at least assure you that the Enfocus User Group is alive and well and proving a great source of informed opinion. Your question be far better answered there I am sure. www.enfocus.com Peter -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Chris Rees Sent: 13 February 2004 17:24 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [PDF-Basics] ICC Colour Profiles/tags PDF-Basics is a service provided by PDFzone.com | http://www.pdfzone.com/ __________________________________________________________________ Apologies for sending to the basics list but I don't think the pre-press list is active anymore. Problem: - We have been supplied an advert from a client as a pdf. When viewing in Acrobat 5 or 6 (Overprint Preview "On" or "Off"), the file visually appears ok on screen, however when we ran this file out to a Xerox DC12 (PS Level 3 RIP) a small area of colour around an EPS was much darker. I have run it through Pitstop 6 with an Action List to "Remove ICC tag", and created another to "Remove ICC profile". Both have failed to produce results after preflighting. We are able to fix this by discarding the colour profiles tagged in Photoshop however. Does anyone know if these two features really work in Pitstop? Rgds Chris.
