In Acrobat 6, you can save a PDF to either Word or RTF
format.
You should be aware, however, that not all PDFs convert to
these formats properly. It just depends on who made the PDF, what application it
was made with, and the elements that the
PDF contains.
i.e., Many PDFs are not made with Distiller. They may be
made with the Adobe Export feature, third-party software licensed to use the PDF
Library to create export functions, or third-party PDF making software like
Ghostscript. Also, many PDF's are complicated documents containing graphics and
other formatting instructions that are well-beyond Word's capability to
interpret.
You should trying saving your file to a Word doc within
Acrobat. If that doesn't work correctly, then check the pdfzone website for
third-party tools to aid in the conversion process. Some of these can be
downloaded on a trial basis.
Hope this helps.

Subject: [PDF-Basics] Converting PDFs to Word
We recently installed PDF 6 Standard to all our users. Referring to a response to Mike Brehm, what's the best way to convert PDFs to Word? Thanks.
