If your client needs to make edits your final Quark file, export the file to MS Word if your client has it and they can make edits in Word. The Word file may not come out looking exactly as the Quark file, depending on the amount of styling involved, but he/she will be able to edit the text to send back to you for changes to the Quark resume.

You were quite right to make a pdf of the Quark file. That would give you the electronic file suited for both viewing and printing. However your client would need Acrobat Reader to do either - it is essentially Freeware available on most cover magazine CDs or directly from the www.adobe.com website. So that's not an issue for your client. The ability to modify / update the CV is - basically that can only be done in the host application, in this case Quark. So, she's locked in to your services... At first I thought the client only needed it for print, but she now needs it electronically also. What do I do? I started by saving the page as a pdf, then sending it to her via e-mail, but she couldn't view it. Do I need to create my pdf with acrobat, not Quark? Also, she needs to be able to edit the resume after I create it. Is there a way for me to create a pdf she can edit when I am creating it in Quark.
