Brad, I was giving you instructions for printing the file (where you choose the page size). When you export the PDF, and when you have the registration turned on, Quark will automatically add .5" on all sides for the registration marks. There is no ability to select a paper size. It should work...I just tried it (on my Mac) and it worked fine. What version of Quark did you say you had? I can't remember. PDF-Basics is a service provided by PDFzone.com | http://www.pdfzone.com/ __________________________________________________________________ Clifford, I just did everything you and Rich suggested. (I am on a PC, BTW) 1. clicked on registration in Quark 2. added a .125 bleed in Quark 3. chose PDF as my printer in Quark I don't, however, see a way to change my document size up an inch as Rich suggests. I looked in properties under PDF page size but it only allows pre-set sizes. I chose 11 x 17 just for giggles but that didn't work. And after I produce the PDF I see a complete 8.5 x 11 image with no visible bleeds or crop marks as you suggest I should see. BTW, I am using the export as PDF method right out of Quark. Ok, so it isn't so obvious...to dumb old me. Please respond to [EMAIL PROTECTED] pdfzone.com PDF-Basics is a service provided by PDFzone.com | http://www.pdfzone.com/ __________________________________________________________________ In Quark, in the print menu/on the bleed tab did you include an amount of bleed when postscripting out of Quark? Or if you exported a pdf out of Quark in the Export as PDF Menu did you select the Options Menu? In the options menu you will need to go to the Output tab, then at the bottom of the menu change bleed type to Symmetric and enter a bleed amount there. If you didn't supply the bleed from Quark then you are not going to have it within the pdf. Then once the pdf is created check it in Acrobat or Acrobat Reader visually to see if the bleeds were included. Any easy way to check this is to make sure that you are including registration and crop marks, and you will visually see the bleed extended beyond the crop marks. The printer said it didn't. I converted a Quark 5.01 file with Acrobat 6.0 Pro. Thanks.
