Thank you James...

Is there a way to batch print that requires no interaction? I attempted to run the
sequence Print All and it did not quite do what I wanted...

The problem that is leading down this path is that I have several PDF documents when
loaded as images present an error in my application that uses LEADTools Imaging
components... the error is "ERROR_PDF_BAD_CONTENT 20728 File is corrupted." File
loads up fine in Acrobat 6...

If I take that document and print using Adobe PDF and "print as image" in advanced
printer setup, I can then load the document as an image without any problems... what I
am tyring to do essentially is run a batch to print all as image so they can be
successfully displayed...

When I run a batch sequence "Print All" with Run Commands On: Selected Folder
(contains the PDF docs) and Output location: Specific Folder and output file naming
options is same as original, it appears that a file copy of some sort happens and
copies of the file are created in "Specific Folder" but they are not printed as an
image... additionally, for each document, I am presented with a Save PDF File As
dialog and the filename "Print AVCommand.PDF" with a save to location as My
Documents...

The problem is that I would then need to name each specific document with its original
name... this would not be an issue but I potentially 40K-50K documents that needs to
be printed as image...

Cost is a factor, I do not want to spend $6K for a service to do this... I am open to
reasonably inexpensive tools but would prefer to handle without an added expense...
Can this be done and I am just going about the wrong way?

Thank you for any assistance... if you prefer to take this off list, please let me
know...

The AdobePDF printer instance in your print dialogue box IS distiller 6. If you look
into your Acrobat folder you can create a shortcut/alias on your desktop for the
distiller executable file and drag and drop your files onto that shortcut, or, create
a "watched folder" in the distiller options (open the distiller window-click
settings>watched folders...) and point distiller in the direction of the folder where
your files are stored.

*edit* Oh, and I forgot, with 6 you can just click the "Create PDF" icon on the
toolbar and browse to where your files are and Acrobat just does all the rest. The
drawback is you can only do one file at a time, unless you want to combine files, then
you can do as many as you want. You're probably better off with the watched folder
thingie.

From: Gary Hill

Hello...

My name is Gary Hill... This is my first question to this group and I am not the most
knowledgeable user of Acrobat... I have several PDF documents that I am loading into
an application to be viewed as an image... a number of these documents present an
error that suggests that the document/file is corrupt... the document opens w/o
problem in Acrobat... I had experienced this with a number of documents in the past
and with Acrobat 5.0 I was able to open the problem document in Acrobat and then print
to distiller and the output image loaded and displayed in my application... a couple
of questions

1. In 5.0 I had the option to Print to Distiller... I cannot locate that option in 6.0
and Distiller is not an option under printers(Adobe PDF is)... help...
2. Once I figure out my Distiller question, is there a way to batch print to
Distiller?
