If I don't have version 6 to downsample the image can I perform similar tasks in 5? -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Rich Sprague Sent: Monday, April 26, 2004 11:14 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [PDF-Basics] pdf help PDF-Basics is a service provided by PDFzone.com | http://www.pdfzone.com/ __________________________________________________________________ Photoshop PDFs are generally fatter than PostScript-generated PDFs. One could print a PDF using the Standard job settings (which is set at 150 dpi). Or, with Acrobat open, one could create a PDF from the JPG. Then, using the PDF Optimizer (v 6.x), you could downsample the image until you achieve the file size/quality desired. Remember, to make the file PDF 1.4-compatible.
