I would not use setjmp/longjmp unless it is absolutly needed.
Their proposed exception library makes a not-so-ugly use of them, but it
is still quite an ad-hoc solution -anyways, the process would be
transparent to the library client, so it may be a solution if everything
else, even talking with gnulib maintainers, fails.
